Eddekhar at LEAP 2026: Fintech's Role in Powering Saudi SMEs

September 4, 2026

Three panelists in traditional Saudi dress sit on stage at LEAP 2026 in front of a screen reading "Fintech for SMEs - Powering Small Business Growth," with Eddekhar's Abdulkareem Alkhiary speaking into a microphone.

We are pleased to share that Eddekhar took part in LEAP 2026, joining a panel discussion on how fintech is powering small and medium enterprises in Saudi Arabia.

A panel on fintech and SMEs

Abdulkareem Alkhiary, Co-Founder and CTO of Eddekhar, joined Salem A., Co-Founder of Tarmeez Capital, and Sultan Alkhayal for a panel session on the CODE Stage in Hall 1A at LEAP 2026. The discussion, coordinated by CODE at the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, brought together founders from different corners of the Kingdom's fintech ecosystem to talk through the practical challenges SMEs face and how technology can help address them.

What we shared

The conversation centered on one idea: fintech creates real value for SMEs when it gives them faster access to the right financial tools, clearer visibility over their money, and more ways to grow beyond what traditional banking offers on its own. For Eddekhar, that same principle applies to how companies manage the financial side of their workforce — moving away from manual, one-off processes toward tools that give employers and employees the same clarity and choice.

Eddekhar at the show

Alongside the panel, Eddekhar hosted a booth at Hall 1A, Booth E50, throughout LEAP 2026, running from August 31 to September 3. Eddekhar is a workplace savings and investment platform that helps employees build long-term wealth through automated payroll deductions and Shariah-compliant investment options — visitors stopped by to learn how employers can offer it as a financial wellbeing benefit.

What this means for our customers

Conversations like the one at LEAP 2026 reflect a shift already underway among Saudi employers: financial benefits are no longer limited to end-of-service payouts. Financially secure employees are more committed and consistent at work, and Eddekhar makes that happen automatically through payroll.

Our thanks go to Salem A. and Sultan Alkhayal for the discussion, and to the CODE team at the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology for coordinating the session. We're grateful to everyone who visited our booth, and we look forward to sharing what comes next.
